  it looks like paris jackson and her brother prince michael have told katherine they simply aren't interested in peddling jw stuff from door-to-door any more.

  insurance companies must weigh the risk of hiring a loose lip jw, the watchtower had the nerve to have their legal counsel reply to this author with this bogus statement about the problem dr. bullock had with is loose lip book-keeper who ran to the elders when she read the patients file after the sister was raped and came down with a std.

  the sister who ran to the elders had no desire to approach the sister who was raped, she assumed the sister had sex with seven men and decided her "feet were quick to rush to do bad".

  I like whats not mentioned in this statement. If a JW does disclose confidential information that violates HIPPA and loses their employment in addition to being sued, dont expect the WT to help you out. Don't expect the congregation to help you out either. The elder body will at the most try to encourage you and reassure you that you did the right thing by divulging someone's private medical history in order to keep the congregation clean. But now that you cant kind find a job because you were fired from your previous job for one of the most unethical acts that can be done in healthcare, the elders are gonna tell you to rely upon Jehovah. Maybe someone will leave a bag of Ramen noodles on your porch . Taste and see that Jehovah is good.

  Oh another one, that JWB's post reminded me of, "make Jehovah real."

  Excuse me? Make him real? How exactly do I go about doing that? He either exists or doesn't. It reminds me of some folks that state that the Lord speaks to them and they hear him and then say that I could hear him too, but I'm not listening. So according to those that hear the Lord, I'm choosing to be deaf, according the WT I'm choosing to be blind, and according to the nonbelievers for even debating this stuff and stressing about it, I'm dumb. True definition of, deaf-dumb-& blind.

  When they emphasize that they have "love of neighbor" or that they "love their neighbor" which for the most part is limited to placing literature with people. Can't tell you how many times I've heard it said that the greatest way we demonstrate love for our neighbors is by preaching the good news of the Kingdom to them which again translates into, placing literature. Even that's done half-heartedly. Other than that, for the most part the average JW can give two fukks about a non-JW, and that mentality is encouraged by the WT. To view nonJWs as anything other than either a danger or a convert is the standard outlook directed by the WT. There is no love of neighbor, more like.....will love it when Jehovah destroys them at Armageddon unless they let me finish my presentation or agree with everything I said.

  Ironically, plenty of JWs barely care about a good percentage of people even in their own congregation.

  Hilarious. She summed it up correctly though, door to door is neverending. It will enver end. I wonder at times if the WT knows just how many JWs secretly hate it.

  provides within the textbook direction on how to handle various situations: how to teach effectively, what the
  responsibilities are in shepherding others, and things of that nature. There are probably five or six paragraphs in
  the entire book of about 180 pages that have to do with child abuse, because child abuse is not something that
  Jehovah's Witnesses have a great deal of problem with.

  Are Western values compatible with Christian values?

  i was going to say judaism, christianity, and islam but since i know little of judaism and islam so i decided to stick primarily with christianity.

  i have found myself thinking that the values preached in the bible are not compatible with western (ie american) values.

  however, it all seems to depend on who you really talk to and what he or she believes.. for example, the jehovah's witnesses preach a lot about how women are suppose to be submissive to men and yet at the same time preach how this does not mean that women are suppose to be seen as inferior to men.

  On capitalism and its partner in crime, imperialism especially, of course not. Considering the Israelites subjugation of other peoples, maybe this country got the Judeo part right. Heck, they got Christian principles as defined by Constantine right too. As far as Jesus Christ is concerned, this country's values are about as much in harmony with Christ's life as Peter right before Jesus said "get behind me Satan."
